LONDON PEOPLE IN OIL, ACRYLIC & MIXED MEDIA
The capture of those expressive moments - a single frame
of life where our thoughts, feelings & emotions collide
My portraits are not just about capturing a likeness
...it's more about capturing a single frame of life - those intense or defining moments!

London People portraits must be expressive
My 'London People' portraits must embody the moment being lived, capturing the raw intensity that connects a person’s innermost feelings to their soul. Whether it's the intensity of a smile, the quiet sadness in someone’s eyes, or the way a person holds themselves in a fragile or vulnerable moment. In these fleeting moments, the mask slips, and the soul stands bare—unfiltered, undeniable, and real.
It's not just about capturing a likeness
I love doing people portraits as every painting presents the added challenge of trying to capture a persons latent feelings and emotions. Portraits are not just about the likeness, it's about encapsulating of the moment, it's slowing down the all the noise and capturing a single frame of life. Looking at art with this kind of prospective makes the human story and portrait so much more interesting.
With every muse I photograph, paint, draw and sketch
...it feels like an endless dance with shifting and evolving identities!
Mixed media paintings and sketches are real people in the heart of London, where
portraits strive to capture the expressive moments — where thoughts and feelings collide.
I'm inviting the viewer to second-guess the moment, and delve deep
into the muse's innermost thoughts, feelings, and emotions.
